I’d keep Foote. Yes he kinda stinks but we don’t have RHD depth in the system and if we do trade him we are going to run into this problem next year

Perbix can replace Foote next year or a UFA with the cap space, Bogo and Cernak are signed and Rutta could be relatively cheap if he wants to stay

Trading Foote is ridiculous rather trade a bum like Rutta or bogi

Tampa has Jack Thompson, Perbix, and Schmidt in the system. Thompson is probably the closest of the 3, but who knows when they’ll get a shot with Tampa(probably not until ‘23-‘24). Bogo has his ups and downs, but he’s also cost controlled for two more years and has a full ntc. Rutta could be moved depending on if the team feels they can re-sign him, or they could dangle Foote as part of a package to get who they want. Middleton, Braun, Schenn all seem like reasonable options, depending on how Tampa intends to deploy the pairings moving forward. It will also be key to acquire a dman that the team can either re-sign next year(likely with Middleton, maybe with Braun), or one with term(Schenn). The team still seems high on Foote, but I wouldn’t consider him untouchable at all if the trade made sense.
