Very good ACGM

- Before people say "not enough for Fiala", this package is worth two 1st and a 2nd. Sens can afford to pay that with the youth depth they have

- Giroux and Fiala salaries are a bit low though, don't think they'd sign under 7 M$ each

- I don't think you'll need to buyout Murray, I think he ends up on LTIR. Doctors have probably already considered not clearing him for contact anymore with his concussion history. I think it's unfortunately getting there

- I'd like to use Brannstrom instead of Thomson in the Fiala trade but their values have been going in different directions. That's what happens when your GM has no idea about asset management

I really like these lines, particularly the Top-9

I would have JBD on 2nd pairing RD instead of Hamonic who would be 3rd pairing RD. I know rookies (Sanderson-JBD) and everything but they would still be much better than anything we have seen behind Chabot/Zub/DeMelo the last 4 seasons.

I would trade Brannstrom for pick(s), he's just not part of the plans and doesn't fit. Let him flourish somewhere else

Also, my 4th line would be Crookshank - Kastelic - Joseph.

Watson and Kelly the 13th/14th guys

I think the rest of the season will be important to assessing and improving branny's value should he decide to ask for a trade. I would also be placing JBD in the fiala trade instead of Lassi. I feel Lassi is the better player than JBD. Before we give up a ransom for FIala I think its important to do due diligence on Brock Boeser as well. personally, I feel boeser is the better player and Vancouver may decide to move on.

I hope they actually do something this offseason. Do you have any thoughts as to who they should acquire on defence?

I think Minnesota prefers Ottawa's 2022 1st more than Thomson and a 2nd. We have multiple D prospects, already.

Ottawa is picking top 5 in the upcoming draft and could end up with Wright or Slafkovsky, either of whom could play in our middle 6 next year. I'd much rather grab Giroux as a UFA and then use our 2023 1st to grab a solid top 4 RHD with term or team control remaining. Stacking the offence while ignoring had much help we need on the blue line won't get us very far - especially if our goalies struggle as badly as they did at the start of this season.

That pick is not for trade (or shouldn't), it's going to be a top-5 pick. Batherson, Pinto, Chabot and Sanderson are all injured. That's 4 of the 8 organizational gems

Well, another prospect, a forward, instead of Thomson, then. We already have blue-chippers Addison and Lambos plus other great D prospects like Hunt, O'Rourke and Peart.

I get the feeling Sens front office thinks they already got their "top 4 D" with Hamonic.
