Chytil is a bust, Krav is a broken project but solid prospect, Lundqvist is your RD outcast. Seems like a lot of spare parts here without much REAL quality. Obviously this isn’t a bad offer but the Canucks probably look for more

Pretty much what Juiceman said. Basically, what would you want in exchange for Mika Zibanejad? Take that value and add a little because you're getting an extra year @5.25m

Why 1 year? Sign the guy to an extension. Its not VANs fault if NYR dont plan to keep him long term...

It's called a salary cap. Familiarize yourself with it, it exists. Not the Rangers fault Vancouver blows and wants to off load their best player. Why doesn't Vancouver just sign him?

It feels like you're new to hockey so I will spell it out for you. NYR did a marvelous job of rebuilding quickly, they're ready to contend and they could use a guy like Miller to push them into that category of teams for real (TLDR; he makes sense for NYR at this time). VAN has been rebuilding for what feels like a thousand years, new to get younger and are weak on RD (Miller isnt right-handed or a defenceman)... he doesn't fit the team's timeline. He should be monetized and that doesn't mean for spare parts (TLDR: signing him doesn't make sense for VAN at this time). Let me know if you have any other questions about this or anything else, always happy to help a newcomer to the sports. Warm Regards.

Why would I ask a question of someone with no clue. Vancouver's problems are theirs and not the Rangers. It makes ZERO sense to give up 4 pieces, all 1st round picks, for 1 year of JT Miller. ZERO. Say what you want about Chytil and Kravstov, how they aren't worth much, yet everyone wants to TRADE FOR THEM, which is just so funny. And why should the Rangers trade Lundqvist when next year he could be a pair with Schneider? The Rangers are just coming out of a rebuild and there is no reason to try to rush it and give up 4 assets for 1 year of JT. Obviously Drury is thinking that way by the moves he made at the TDL. Maybe you didn't notice that because you are new to hockey?

Chytil and Kravtsov may have been drafted in the 1st round, but they are no longer worth a 1st round pick. If we’re going off of that logic you can have Tyler Myers and Tanner Pearson for Braden Schneider and Adam Fox. A steal since it’s two 1st rounders for one 1st rounder and one 3rd rounder

Why do you want Chytil and Kravstov then? Why do I see trade after trade for them?

I think fans of rebuilding teams see them as intriguing reclamation projects who could be acquired for cheaper than what they were drafted for while still having some untapped potential there

Yeah, and they want them for nothing, but that's not going to happen.

Did you happen to read the Elliotte Friedman article? Pretty much saying that JT Miller will get the Mika Zibanejad contract. So $8,500,000 x 8 years. Rangers can't afford that long term.
