We need a powerplay/PK specialist who can play big minutes for our 2LD, that isn't Pettersson looking at his ATOI and special teams play over the past 2 seasons. I think the Pens can get this, just not from us.

Pettersson's usage/TOI in Pittsburgh is more of a result of the org's depth at LD than his actual ability

He's fine on the PK and has also shown some offensive ability in the past, just currently being used in more of a defensive role

Think he would be an ideal cheap (to acquire) #4 for a team like LA, and he's still pretty young to fit the window

Respect your opinion but do think it would be a win/win trade

Respectfully, you will likely see no trades for 2LD until Chychrun to LA is completely off the radar and Edler is unwilling to reup with the Kings. Because I see both those options as preferable.

Fair enough, could also see him going to a team like Detroit for the same reasons outlined above
