Kings aren't going to throw in the towel on Petersen based on one underperforming season. He's not going anywhere unless the Kings have a suitable "goaltender of the future" replacement on hand.

Iafallo is in a slump over the last 20 games or so, but before that was having a career season. It happens. He's one of the most underrated players on the team, if not in the league, and is signed to an incredibly team-friendly contract over the next 4 years. He's not going anywhere.

The Chychrun trade is fine, but one 2nd round pick too heavy IMO. Send back a 4th in the same draft to LA and I could be convinced that it's not too much.

This team won't be able to contend with Iafallo at 1LW and Moore at 2LW, it's one of the other, pick one...

Why do Iafallo and Moore need to be 1LW and 2LW? Why can't they be 2LW and 3LW? Kopitar won't be the 1C indefinitely, Iafallo can slide down the lineup as Kopitar moves down.

Iafallo is better than Nyqvist, so I'm not sure why they're better off with him on the first line than Iafallo.

Iafallo is not better than Nyquist... Byfield isn't taking it from Kopitar next season which means Kopitar is the likely 1C again next season so does that mean another year of 1LW Iafallo? Probably. Kings need to add.

Iafallo is better (and younger) than Nyquist.

So then the Kings add Forsberg and go:

Forsberg-Kopitar-Kempe
Moore-Danault-Arvidsson
Iafallo-Byfield-Kaliyev
Lemieux-Lizotte-Deslauriers

As long as we are putting Iafallo on the 3rd line, I could get behind that. I think Forsberg Danault Arvidsson need to be together though

Moore has been the single most productive player on the Kings since joining Danault & Arvidsson on the 2nd line. He has 12g and 39p in 47 games and is +19. Not sure why you want to break that up.

Don't really know Iafallo's value, so can't speak to the trade proposal, but looking at Gus's stats from prior years probably isn't that helpful. You are looking at a year with Torts, a year missed to injury and a year with an extremely slow start due to recovery from the injury. His value since December or so has shot up significantly once he got back into the game and adjusted to the new team around him.

The only input i have on the trade is that the Jackets likely won't look to do a 1 for 1 winger for winger trade. We need to clear out space, so unless the value heavily favors Columbus, I highly doubt Jarmo moves an alternate captain for another winger straight up.

The main point is that Iafallo is an elite defensive forward that has managed to produce on par offensively with Nyqvist, who is below average defensively.

Jamie kompon, lol

Also, kings aren’t trading Petersen. Especially not for an older goalie

You do know the kings had kompon and he was terrible. And yes I’ll agree with sturm. He’s terrible. McLellan well, doubt he goes anywhere. Do I like him, not really
