Why would Carolina give up a solid defensive prospect for that package?

While it is a substantial package and you could very plausibly remove Kuokkanen from the deal, however, Carolina desperately needs a boost of offense and Kapanen has shown potential to be a highly productive top six forward. Bozak is not a long term piece for the Canes, but it gives them a bit of a veteran two-way presence that will be lost when Jay McClement departs this summer, as well as offer a substantial improvement of McClement and a guy who can help take some work off of the young forwards in Carolina like Victor Rask, Teuvo Teravainen and Elias Lindholm.

No where close to acquiring Manson. And why would the Leafs want Stuart? No Connor Brown?

You've put the Ducks over the cap. Doesn't work.

Forget that, the Ducks are over the cap.
