I think so. He has been starting to decline and the injuries of late and just the way he plays might be catching up to him. He's at the age that defensive defensemen start to decline. Probably better to trade him over MP and Matheson to make room for POJ. Especially if the idea is to get younger and faster.

I don't see the grit here, you need a 4th liner guy to cover for Letang, Crosby, and Geno as they age. Bring back Aston-Reese or try and sign Deslauriers

Blackwell is a great forechecker and defensive forward, he doesn’t fight but we ain’t that sorta team, we need more hard workers with a bit of a physicality edge

Friedman could contend for that spot too
