Expansion Selection. I'm Protecting Kevan Miller after he stepped the F up in the playoffs. He didn't get the job done on that last goal where he crossed swords with the eventual scorer, but that was a fluke. He was solid as a rock the rest of the time. Arguably our top player in the playoffs.

Zero, but thank you for thinking a guy with as little posts as I has the authority to speak for our entire fanbase. I guess you were impressed by this mock I cranked out in 10 minutes. You should have rated it though. If one of them goes, its Carlo and it's for like Ekblad, Trouba, Provorov and The oldest guy I could see us going for would be Klingberg. Maybe Werenski if we want to keep both Kevan McQuaid and Adam Miller (I did that on purpose). Basically it's for a better version of Carlo because we don't want to wait 3 years for him to get to the same level. We're not adding much either, maybe a 2nd rounder at most. Thank you for the traffic on my mock.

Dallas has their own cap dumps to worry about with Eakin. They aren't taking Belsekey too. No, AHL goalie Malcolm Subban isn't sweetening it enough either. McQuaid isn't getting you a 2nd round pick, especially in a stronger draft.

Your Hayes trade is terrible. He's signed at 2.3 for one more year. This isn't breaking the bank....So to get out of a cheap contract for 1 more year, you're going to send a 2nd round pick? Just bury him in Providence at this point.

Perfect? Far from it.....

I'd love to get a 2nd for McQuaid, but with his contract and injury history IDK if anyone would be willing to pay that.

Not sure why DAL would want Bels or Subban

If its going to cost a 2nd to unload Hayes, I'd rather buy him out or keep him for the extra year.

Lastly, why is Boston carrying 3 goalies?

I'll answer in reverse order. 3 Goalies because I was too lazy to drop McIntyre down after singing him. Good job busting balls on something trivial.

Really you guys don't want to pay a 2nd to drop Jimmy Hayes while getting back a 4th? Well if you can trick someone into giving us something for him then fine, lets do it. I don't think he's wanted by anyone, so this is our option. Don't buy him out then we get cap hit to the following year as well. That's a moronic option that doesn't solve our problem.

You're not sure why Dallas would want Subban? Do you live on Mars? They've had Goalie Problems for awhile now and Subban is the best unproven option thats available. Name a better goalie prospect they could get please.

You don't think Chiarelli would like another tough guy? That's your opinion, but they broke the bank to get Lucic because of his intensity and fighting ability while producing some points. Adam McQuaid would fit them like a glove and they need another RHD, unless you're a Mark Fayne believer. They need a defenseman when Kris Russell leaves and it's not looking like Reinhart will emerge or could play his off side in the NHL. Where is their #5/6 RHD coming from? You think they find something better cheaper in the bargain bin UFA's? Please enlighten me on who they could pay less that could contribute more. I'll be waiting to hear this.

Alright look, I like what you did, your trades make sense for the most part, and you're cocky as all hell..

Not sure Charelli is dumb enough to cough up a 2nd for McQuaid, however...that being said, it is Charelli. If he would Id accept in a heartbeat.

Only nitpick I come up with is your Subban trade. Subban is unproven, correct, all he has proven is that he can lay a wet fart every time he gets called up, why would Dallas want ANOTHER unproven high risk goalie? I can name a few options: (Bishop, Fleury or Murray, Bernier or any other prospect that may not be directly advertised as being available [Hellebuyck, Korpisalo, Comrie, Markstrom). That being said, even this trade isn't bad, I could see it if Dallas wanted to repeat history and have another goalie with high expectations that could be a sub par starter like Lehtonen.

Agree with others. Hayes trade is bad just dump him for a 7th and call it a day. You aren't getting a 2nd for McQuaid. And while I disagree with others and think Subban and Beleskey to Dallas is a good move for them I think the most you could ask for is a a 2nd but probably a 3rd and McKenzie. They have little depth on LW and could lose Roussel to Vegas. A healthy Beleskey could be their 3rd line LW and with regular minutes the cap hit isn't quite so bad as it s in Boston. Agreed Subban has more value than B's fans give him credit for. You can't base his value off of 2 half games even if they were terrible. Dallas owes 11mil to their goalie pair keeping them from going a getting a free agent and their farm system has nothing. There aren't many chances for them to acquire a goalie under 25 with NHL potential much less getting one that cheap.
