Description

Gave Barrie away to a team with room and need for what he brings.
Yamamoto nets a 2nd and Mayfield who completes the right side.
Kane comes back and makes some cash, Oilers would not be able to find better, and he fits in on the team.
Dzingel vs Holloway - a competition for top minutes on the left side. Dzingel takes the 1 year deal to try to revive his scoring.
Two vet goaltenders to push each other - when injured Skinner can make his move.

I think this is quite well done. I don't think Dzingel will be the guy they should get for the bottom 6. Waste of 1 mil in my mind. But Blackwell or maybe even Galchenyuk would be interesting. I assume Kane gets more but he has been a great fit in Edmonton. I think this would be a good contract for the Oilers.

Overall I still don't love the team but it is better than it is now.

Mayfield is a good 5/6 defensemen. Yamomoto is a young, 20 goal / 40 point top 6 type player. I think Isles pay some attention.
