avs trade is fine but it depends on how much their other guys cost.

I think Buffalo politely declines both. We have wingers and left shot d, so there's not much interest there. Not sure how much interest the sabres would have in Allen, especially for a 2nd

I like the idea of bringing in Marchment, I think him galley and dvo would make a hard third line to play against and can chip in some offence. I don’t know about signing Letang, yes there’s a glaring hole on the right side but at his age it’s a risky signing. I also hold onto Allen with the uncertainty with Prices health

Allen could help luukkonen next year for buf ! They could share the job and Allen could be a really good mentor for him ! Maybe a 2nd seems high, but for constancy, its not too high, i feel like its the right price !

Yea the Allen trade is the most unlikely bc of price's health ! If we dont bring letang, maybe bring back Wideman for 1-2 years , who have made an honest job this year on the third pair

I feel like they could really take a Drouin on the third line for half is salary ! If he stays healthy, this could be a really good deal for Avs.

While I don’t like Drouins game at all, I can’t pretend that this trade isn’t good value for COL (depending on their cap situation and the cost of their other signings).

Allen isnt worth a 2nd. Sabres dont take your cap dumps without significant compensation

Allen could help luukkonen ...Maybe a 2nd seems high...
If three time cup winner Marc-Andre Fleury returned only a second how is Allen's value equal to that?
It cost the Islanders over two seconds for Arizona to take Andrew Ladd's salary of $5,500,000, why do you think Byron's $3,400,000 cap hit would not cost at least a 2nd +?
Clague appears to be a decent LHD but he would play behind Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson and maybe Johnson.
I could see Buffalo wanting Allen, but not for a second.
For the reasons I stated above Allen, Byron and a second for future considerations.
