Seabrook has a NMC. Not sure why he would waive it one year into his new contract?

Standard response in trading for young defensemen...likely the hawks would have to give up more to get Trouba. The trade you laid out looks fair, but you d-men always demand more than you think.

I've got to agree with Lenny; I don't think Seabrook is going anywhere. It's neat and it's clean to think, "His game has slipped, let's get rid of him." but there is waaaay more to it then that.

Every trade scenario I have seen on here is way undervaluing him. Hawks' fan is pissed and looking for a scapegoat.
He is a top 3 or 4 D Man on any team in this league and should be for another 4 plus years. He is a leader and knows, and can show, what it takes to be a winner; and has the resume to back it up.
They aren't going to dump him for Eric Fehr (who is well passed being passed his prime) and a 2nd and 4th round picks.
Even if they do need to move him for cap space they will need a "rosterable" D Man coming back in any deal.

All I can say about the Panarin a 3rd and a 5th for Trouba and Lowry is Bowman would have to have taken a significant blow to the head to make that deal. smile
