Allen isn't much of an upgrade over Desmith if at all. Depends on if Desmith gets ran out of Pittsburgh in these playoffs or not... as he probably is starting game 1

Gonna cost a lot more than a late 4th round pick to get the Islanders to take 3 more years of Joel Armia at $3.4M. If you wanted to throw in Jordan Harris or Kaiden Guhle, maybe we can talk about it, but that contract just makes more problems than it's worth if all that's coming with it is a pick in the 110-120 range.
