Bedard coming to philly

Created by: MGabes19
Team: 2022-23 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 30, 2022
Published: Apr. 30, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This team is @$$. Flyers should be sellers at deadline, and I assume TK, Lindblom, Sanheim, and possibly Laughts (long contract may make it hard to move him) will be playing somewhere else next spring. After trades, Ratcliffe, Laczynski, Forester, Desnoyers, Wisdom will hopefully be given call ups.

Cam moves to RD since those are hard to come by.

I don't think Ellis will play another game for the Flyers.

This team should comfortably be in last place, so hopefully we don't win the lottery this upcoming summer and save our luck for the 2023 Draft.

Unfortunately Chuck won't do this. He'll probably trade 1st rounders for overpaid players, or sign expensive and old UFAs. Welcome to purgatory.

Not too familiar with Harkins tbh. But with TK's long contract term, that may be a reasonable offer. Problem is, that NYR 1st rounder is gonna be late 20's.

It would have to be bit more than that for me. To me I don't see Harkins being anything else than a bottom 6 player in Philly and the NYR 1st is most likely going to be a late one.

It's definitely dropped in the past two years. I am still very high on him, so my biased belief is a 1st rounder and a top prospect minimum. But his contract term may lower that value.

At this point I would be happy to get a 1st, top prospect / 2nd and a decent prospect

Laughton's one of the few guys that seems to understand where the team's at. I wouldn't want him moved, although as you said it's probably near impossible anyways.
Provorov, TK, and JVR need to go for sure though.

Think Philly would be willing to take some cap back?

If thats what it really took I think the Jets should do it depending on the prospect, as much as I think their defense isn't their biggest issue they could use a top 4 upgrade, that is if they think they can turn it around in one year and get back to relevancy.

Retaining on Provy for the next 3 years probably isn't going to happen because that is pretty rare to see a team retain on a multi year contract. Realisticly they are probably going to keep him this next season and hope he could bounce back and get to play more than 4 games with Ellis.

Sorry I didn't mean retention, I meant a player that makes more than a million per year, long term retention isn't very realistic and I comment that on here frequently.. lol

Oh my bad. Looking at next years contracts I can't really think of any player that could be moved for cap other than Dillon but he still got some value right?

I believe he does yes, Dillon has been pretty solid all season.
I'd rather keep him myself but he's a guy that'd be a candidate to be moved since the Jets have so many young LHD, I'd rather trade DeMelo but suggesting that is just crazy talk apparently.. lol
