Keller is one of their few offensive forces on that team, and is young enough and signed to enough term to be a big part of helping them eventually come out of this rebuild. You have them giving him up for cap filler in Shea Weber, a cap dump in Jonathan Drouin, a guy with 13 goals in 85 NHL games to date, an admittedly good defensive LD that's due for a decent RFA raise, and a 19 year old with 16 career games in the OHL (not to mention I can't see Arizona touching Mailloux after the fallout from drafting Mitchell Miller.)
