Gaudreau had one good season after 2 subpar seasons and a very lacklustre playoff history. & that good season came in a contract year when guys are motivated more. That does NOT get you over $10m. That’s absolutely ludicrous. I’d bet anything on him not getting anything more than $9.5m at absolute most, especially with teams recovering from the pandemic losses.
