Jeff Marek trade proposal

Created by: hockeyfan12
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: May 11, 2022
Published: May 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Jeff Marek propose straight up: Arizona first in 2022 and 2023 for Montreal 1st overall pick
This is non sense to me so I try something; what do you think? I mean, Arizona need players under contract that can play right away, they would have two (Wright and Ylonen), a good prospect in Mailloux, Weber's contract (they've been interested for a while) and Florida's unprotected first.
Trades
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (ARI)
  2. 2023 1st round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
To recap
Arizona 1st this year (3rd overall)
Arizona 1st next year (2023)
vs
Weber contract
Logan Mailloux (A prospect)
Jesse Ylonen (B prospect, can play this year)
1st overall pick this year (Shane Wright)
Florida's pick next year
Something more?
ARI
  1. Mailloux, Logan [Reserve List]
  2. Weber, Shea
  3. Ylönen, Jesse
  4. 2022 1st round pick (MTL)
  5. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)

I’ve never met him and know very little about him. I know he was involved in baseball. So not sure, if you are wondering how he will do in hockey. Now you might think I’m name dropping again but Roger Neilson was a very good friend of mine and I did over a dozen camps with him. His start in coaching was not in hockey. So people can cross over.

I know there are plenty of liars online but with God as my witness I was heavily involved in hockey and was paid to do it. I used to use my real name online but some people called the team I was working for and were rude and annoying to the OHL team. I still enjoy the game and do contract work. I could be full time but my wife and I enjoy Florida too much in the winters. I have nothing to gain on here. I’m not selling anything, not asking for money, not arguing or making fun of anyone.

I grew up a Habs fan from my dad & grandad. A few of my friends played for Habs & they would also like to come on capfriendly but they also get mocked. One of them won the cup in 93 and he got mocked. He lasted 3 days on here. So it is what it is.

As a hockey/Habs fan, I value your posts quite a lot. You're one of the rare users on this site whose contributions offer some form of perspective on what's happening behind the scenes, and I make sure to read as much of your posts as possible - with 4 young kids, that's hard! 🙂

Wow, four young ones, now that is impressive. My youngest is 21, so I’m past those fun/crazy years. Hockey is a sport and should be fun. Capfriendly is a fantastic opportunity to discuss the sport we all enjoy. It’s a over used phrase and I don’t know who said it first but haters are going to hate. I see some ridiculous trades on here, I never feel it’s my job to go mock the person. I remember 3 years ago, people were making fun of a guy on here and I came to his defence. After thanking me, we talked for several days, only to find out he lived in Australia and never played hockey in his life. He just likes the sport and followed it online. Here’s an opportunity to grow the game, instead people were making fun of him.
