Dude, one of the first things I did when I registered on Capfriendly was make a bunch of proposals bringing Zub to Vancouver. Sens fans tried to rip my lungs out

Oh I didn’t know that. Yeah from what I’ve seen he’s loved by them. He’s the kind of guy that isn’t overly flashy, but damn important and a great defenseman.

And it's not like Ottawa doesn't have the cap space to extend him. For now at least

That’s another team I’m kind of perplexed by. I genuinely thought they were going to be better than they were this year. Definitely think they need some goaltending help there.

Ottawa, Detroit, New Jersey. I expect all those teams to at least challenge for a post-season birth next year. I would deem it a disappointment if any of them were bottom feeder teams next season

I think I’d add Buffalo as well. They might be a little further away, but I think things are going to get a lot better for them. The Devils definitely have the pieces to be better so I’m curious to see how they do next year. Seider is going to lead Detroit to glory one day. The kid is so poised and in my mind a true defenseman who plays physical and great defense while putting up points.

Now that Blashill is gone, I'm much more optimistic about Detroit, Seider definitely looks like a Superstar in the making. Devils need a good goalie, but that's just to get them to the playoffs, I don't believe Blackwood is the answer though. Buffalo should be a decent team next season. Don't know if it will be enough to clinch a post-season birth, but I think they'll make it interesting. Ottawa just seems to want one more top six forward, whether they develop one (Greig, Jarventie), or trade for one (Fiala, Giroux, etc.)
