I think this would be a backwards move for the pens. Yes the ugrade from kapanen to miller is very damn good. But they gotta pay miller 8+ which is a lot. Marino is way better and younger than myers and has a nice deal with control so thats a complete deal breaker. And giving up a first and prospect to get this done doesn't make sense at all either. Not bad GM'ing for the canucks just think the dance partners wouldn't be interested.

Myers (-1.5) / Kapanen

Miller (extended)/ Marino, 1st, Blomqvist

I think the valuation there is more than reasonable, just becomes a question of if the shift in positional strength makes sense for them
