Way too much for Palat
Kane and Bergeron won’t sign that cheap
Giroux is the closest but not with the Canes
That trade doesn’t make sense

3 players short and almost $10,000,000 over the cap, Great piece of GM here. Half those players don't sign in Carolina and Ondrej Palat is grossly overpaid as is Jack Campbell, Evander Kane stays with Edmonton. Bergeron stays with Boston or retires Giroux wants to remain in Florida.

You would have a chance (probably wouldn't get him) for 1/2 that on Palat. Try more like 6.5 if you really wanna overpay him
