The last time Ottawa drafted out of Russia was before Zdeno Chara left to become a Boston Bruin. Not saying Yurov would be the wrong pick necessarily, but there's no shot Ottawa would make that pick.

Sharks would definitely take Lekkerimaki over anyone else on the board. Sharks love the Swedes and has a full scouting staff stationed there permanently and while watching a ton of Eklund they were certainly keeping tabs on Lekkerimaki, Ohgren and Ostlund.

I think Cutter Gauthier is what Ottawa thought they'd be getting when they took Tyler Boucher 10th overall. I don't know if Gauthier is the best player available at 7th, but he's certainly not a reach at 7th.

It's really hard to say who is BPA after 5th in this draft. The mocks are all over the map but Gauthier is almost certainly an NHL power forward 3rd line minimum.

woudnt have an issue with Cutter either he does seem like a sens Pick but i think we need to draft a smaller Skill guy or trade the pick imo
