Leafs Moves to Get Them to the wonderland

Created by: LukeSpads

Initial Creation Date: May 20, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Wilson trade is a long shot but this move would add very needed toughness in the top 6 as well as a very good point producer. 3rd Line stays relatively the same and then the 4th line gets tougher but can also play hockey unlike clifford and simmonds. 4 great lines that can all do a role imo. D stays pretty much same as I dont think it was an issue, Schenn replaces Muzzin toughness at a cheap price. Husso hopefully becomes a true #1.

So you might have sent enough for the caps to take Muzzin, where is the value for Wilson?

trade justin holl somewhere else. the islanders simply have no need for him, they have three better RDs on the roster already

Ya just picked a random team, cant really think of a team who need him, maybe a fringe playoff team lacking on RHD, any thoughts who?

Roberston who is a very good prospect as well as a 1st. Muzzin isn't just a cap dump either, top 4 defencemen still and would help the caps out a lot on the left side.

Robertson is really small and has trouble staying healthy so far in his career. Muzzin is another player with injury issues and Washington has better and younger options on the left side coming up. They also need to shed a bit of cap to sign pending free agents so taking his deal on isn't ideal.

Really small isn't a good reason, hes got very high upside and is still very young, he is an A prospect. Fair enough on Muzzin but a 1st and a 2nd might be enough.

Trading for Wilson is unlikely but getting Washington to accept that trade is impossible.

Can’t see the caps trading Wilson any time soon. If they do it will be a gross overpay by someone and not an underpay like this is.
