Correct me if I’m wrong
But it looks like you’re trading R.Johnson to move up about 6 spots in the draft?

Yeah add 2-3 more years of term for Letang and Malkin, And they might consider it.

This completely destroys the positive vibe they have finally built in this team. Giving those kinds of dollars to a few late stage outsiders will destroy all they have done over the past few years. And where are you ion three year? Starting a rebuild all over again.

Pittsburg is reportedly offering them 15m$ over 3 years each. so this is 2x what they offered and they get to see there buddy fleury again.

a little dramatic. all of them are good players who were brought in and have repution of winning and being good team guys. the team needs RHD so whats wrong with letang. Malkin is work horse type player and big improvement on eakin. fleury is basically the same situation as anderson but 4 years younger. Its all 1 year contracts that bring team over the cap min. if your concern is that its keeping the young guys down i disagree fundamentally with bringing kids in before they get seasoned in AHL.

edit
i would also love to destroy what they have done this past decade instead. team had 0 good mojo the previous season btw kinda came last in league and had multiple players demand out.

I’m fine trading him
But at that point in the draft, moving up a few spots doesn’t make much of a difference
Not the best use of an asset imo
