The whole talk about offer sheets is getting silly

Rarely anyone uses them as they invite retaliation and scrutiny and players rarely sign them to protect their image amongst other players

There is a reason since 2010 only 5 players have signed offer sheets with one being a revenge story due to a previous attempt by the other team failing

If Offer sheeting was that easy we would have seen more than 5 in the span of 12 years.

This is very true, but the flat cap and the way teams are throwing picks around It would be the time to push the envelope and flip that script. I doubt it, but it would make it interesting for a few teams.

Agreed, but you have double the teams in Cap trouble and there's some decent RFA's on those teams. Plus some of those teams have used draft picks to move salary and revenge isn't so much a factor cause they don't have the picks to screw you with a sheet. I don't see it happening, but the perfect time to do it if you were to.

No chance in hell the Leafs part with Liljegren to dump Mrazek. He's also not eligible for an offer sheet (less than 80 career games played)
