Brainstorming 2nd line LW acquisitions

Description
After the presser it sounds like Poile is hunting for a 2nd line LW. I doubt they will trot Tolvanen back out there with no plan B. Jeannot is best suited for the 3rd line. We have Afanasyev and L'Heureaux as potential middle six LWs but neither looks set to make the team next year based on lackluster performances this year. RW is pretty locked up with Tomasino and the Evangelista coming in the next few years. I've listed acquisitions below in order of the guys I would want most. No idea if they all will be available.

If the Bruins decide to rebuild how about Taylor Hall?

I think all of those guys will be available. Colorado is close to the cap, and I see them signing Nichushkin over Burakovsky. Niederreiter is a good player, but can Carolina afford to keep him? I don’t think so. They have Bear, DeAngelo, Necas for free agents, and if they want Trocheck, and/or Domi, they will need the cap. Marchment will be there as Florida has no cap, so if a team offers a lot like this, no way Florida can match. And now Palat. Tampa is ridiculously close to the cap, so that’s a no brainer that they will not be able to afford him as well. With that being said, what about Svechkov? He may be ready in a few years. I would only sign someone to a bridge so they have room for Svechkov when he comes.

If that's what Nashville offers any one of the 1st three on your list, they would be fools not to sign! (Palat may take less $$ just to stay in Tampa!) Honestly, I'd be hesitant to come up with those dollars for any of them, imo.

I think Svechkov is at least a few years off and I'm pretty sure he will be an NHL center. Preds will likely have some combo of Svechkov-Glass-Sissons-Parsinnen down the middle in 3-4 years.

Agreed these dollar amounts are definitely UFA premiums. I think if we let Forsberg walk we will definitely be willing to pay up. But assuming he signs I think we will still have room in the cap for the first 2 years of these deals while Tomasino/Jeannot/Carrier/Fabbro are on cheap deals. We might just have to buy out or trade Johansen's last year of his deal.

Interesting okay, I didn’t think he would be a center man. I do think all those guys are up for grabs though!
