Milan Lucic and his 8 team trade list isn't waiving for Arizona, Be a cold day in hell before that happened. Trade him to a legit team like Boston.

Is that all you imagine it takes to unload Lucic? Seems the takers would be incredibly limited. I could see Buffalo taking him on for a 2nd maybe, but wouldn't be giving anything up.

How does that make sense for Buffalo
Giving up a guy we chose in the mid 1st last year for a Cap dump? 🤣🤣🤣

Short answer:
“Hell No”

Medium sized answer:
“Take Rosen out of the deal and maybe”
Emphasis on “maybe”

Not going to lie, I forgot about his NTC. Not sure a team like Boston takes him with that cap hit so that could make it tough. There is a chance he retires as well.

Phillips isn’t a bad player and this helps Arizona get to the cap floor while only paying him $1 million in actual salary. I think it’s reasonably fair but maybe that’s my bias XD

My thinking is that Buffalo wants to compete next year and Monahan has the potential to be a top 6 centre which they need. Maybe Rosen is too strong of a prospect to include in that trade though.

Getting to the cap floor can't be treated like you are doing them a favor though....they can find a dozen ways to add salary no problem. The the Flames that have to cut salary. Lucic is still $3.5m in real money, so I think you are being too optimistic from the Flames side considering what it cost to dump how many bad contracts on Arizona in the past. At least in the case of Bryan Little, that's basically all insurance money...so free cap hit. For Shayne Gostisbehere it cost PHI a 2nd to dump $4.5m.
