That's a crazy overpay for Lehner, and a crazy overpay on the contract for Vanecek, especially after giving up that king's ransom for Lehner. Also, Wilson's out 6-8 months after ACL surgery.

The Vanecek deal is based on the EvolvingWild projections, so they may have gone a bit overboard there. Since Adin Hill cost a second-rounder last offseason, I think that Alexeyev and a 2nd is a fair price to upgrade to a former Vezina finalist on a relatively cheap contract with team control from a goalie who had a .896.

This was made before the full timeline on Wilson was released, though I assume they'll fill his role internally as he will eventually return so LTIR isn't really a full-season option.

That's a severe overpay for Lehner. At best he'll get just a 2nd, not adding Alexeyev or Sammy. Lehner has been very hurt the last seasons in VGK and put up meh numbers.

Hope Caps don't get into the Kardi game. Like him but he's 32 and just put up a career year he will never ever duplicate. If they are going after a 2C they should just go after Trochek. But even then McMichael is 2C ready so they shouldn't go after anyone.

Need to leave room for Wilson to return as well.
