Probably one of the more realistic Gibson deals I've seen, as he is struggling and it won't cost the earth and moon to get him...I would hope the Leafs pass on this though, especially if that is Holtby's going rate, which is likely 2-2.5 as you have it. You could keep/flip Sandin/Holl and keep Anderson and sign 2 of Holtby/Comrie/DeSmith, etc. for the contract of Gibson alone, if not less. If the Leafs are going to pay big money to a goalie, I think they target Kuemper, which I would also deem unlikely. Tandem of 2 guys making 2-3 mill per each.

Thank u for being kind. My word about Gibson as I know nothing about the west division (fan of the Sens). Goalies are werid, Gibson can turn into grubauer in Colorado due to the defence or turns into Seattle Gru like I said goalies are werid man. Kuemper will prob stay in Colorado. For the leafs prob wait a year and get a Blackwood, Jarry or Ned next year all ufa

No problem, I try to *mostly* give positive feedback on here unless people are rude upfront, because I know how harsh this place can be, which is why I never post. Goalies are weird, and they absolutely could look -and likely are- *asking* about him. I just hope they go the route of getting a tandem making 2-3 mill per each. This is definitely much more realistic than the Leafs trading 3 top prospects and a 1st for him. This is much more in the realistic conversation.

Gibson is not worth that, he’s not even worth what I put but he’s name is worth more then him. Gibson contract is really bad and I think it’s a really bad idea to get him if u just go with holtby for a year and comire for 2-3. Then get Jarry or Ned as a future starter also in 2023 I belive is when Vinni who is the next “rask” going in the draft so him too.

Would Ducks accept Comtois for Barbashev?

Gibson hasn’t been that great so I think that’s more realistic type of offer, bc no one is paying a huge haul for a guy that has put up -gsax yr after yr. I think the final offer would replace that 5th with Kokkonen. I don’t like the Chi-Anh deal. Paying Connolly basically what Henrique is getting paid when you account for RS for a huge downgrade in production. Mahura prob has 4thish stand alone value so it’s just not interesting enough as Henrique isn’t bad at all.

I think this would be s good trade for both teams. Barbashev is coming off of a high finishing yr but I think this value seems fair. Comtois should fair much better in Berube’s offensive coaching style

That’s exactly what I was thinking too. Barbashev could be useful in Anaheim too he can resign long term for their cup runs in a few years
