Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks

Salary Cap Mode: Basic

The d core of Hughes-Schenn, OEL-Myers, and Dermott-Poolman is alright but the Canucks definitely could try to add another d man. Especially someone who plays RD and shoots right.
Potential FA options:
Ilya Lyubushkin: He's a big defender that played with Morgan Reilly. He's also younger than Schenn and could probably do his job better. (Schenn hasn't done a bad job at all though)
Justin Braun: Doubt this happens since he's way older than Schenn, Myer etc. However Braun is a veteran defensive d man that actually ended up with a positive plus minus on a terrible Flyers team before getting traded at the deadline.
Michael Stone: Had a great playoffs after barely playing in the regular season. Honestly might be an upgrade on Poolman.
Brett Kulak: Can play LD if they want to play Dermott on the right side. He's been great in the Oiler's playoff run.
Josh Manson: He's an upgrade on all of the RDs the Canucks currently have. Also have a great run as a rental with the Avs. He is 30 though and if Benning was still around a contract he would give to Manson would age bad.
Potential trade options:
John Marino: He's young and under contract for 5 more years. However he's also kinda soft and hasn't been the same since his great rookie season. (He's still good though) However that would likely been Brock Boeser or JT Miller would be going to other way and/or I feel like Kasperi Kapanen could be also coming the other way and I still prefer Brock over Kappy.
Ethan Bear: Hasn't really worked out in Carolina. He was a healthy scratch in the playoffs. Maybe a change in scenery will help.
Matt Dumba: The Wild need cap space and Dumba's contract would be one they would like to get rid of.
Sean Walker: The emergence of Sean Durzi and Drew Doughty coming back makes me feel like Walker is on the trade block.
