Description
My plan is to make a big board for each team prior to the draft, looking at guys who's abilities would match up well with what the team in question should be looking for on draft night. I'm using my Draft Guide for the rankings, and the goal is to select multiple players within the range of each teams' selections that they should consider. These players are ranked by my ranking numerically, not necessarily who the team should value first, second, third, etc. at that spot (hopefully that makes sense). The plan is to provide explanations for the first round picks for every team, then just provide the list for rounds 2-7, unless the team in question doesn't have a first round selection, in which case I'll provide explanations for their first selection, regardless of round. If you want clarification on a specific player, comment and I'll provide it.

With Anaheim and Arizona out of the way, I'm up to my favorite team, the Boston Bruins. There are multiple glaring needs for the team in their prospect pool, but the three biggest ones in my opinion are:

Center
Skilled Wingers
Left-Shot Defender
ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
1Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-
First Pick
#54 Overall
2Logo of the New Jersey Devils-My Ranking: #49. Hughes just feels like a Bruin at this point: plays for a New England college, is a solid two-way center with offensive prowess, and would fill a major hole in the Bruins system: a potential top-six center prospect. This would be a slam-dunk selection if Hughes made it to 54 Overall
3Logo of the Arizona Coyotes-My Ranking: #52. Bystedt plays a very Bruins-esque game. He retires on his large frame to protect the puck and is tough at the net front. He does not play defense very well at all, and that makes me question his overall potential. But the offensive potential is quite good, and a future middle-six pivot could be a good add with a second round selection for Boston.
4Logo of the Seattle Kraken-My Ranking: #60. Thornton, despite his smaller frame for a defender, is a very steady, defensive d-man that the Bruins seem to covet. His Hockey IQ is very high, and he pairs it with great fundamentals that makes him a coaches' dream. I question his offensive upside, but even if he doesn't amount to much in the o-zone, Thornton could potentially be a lockdown defender to finalize the B's future top four alongside McAvoy, Carlo, and Lohrei.
5Logo of the Philadelphia Flyers-My Ranking: #61. Beck is a hard-working, high IQ center who, despite being limited offensively, looks to be a solid middle-six center in the making. Beck is a smooth skater, and has shown flashes of being a solid playmaker. Overall, a good upside pick for a team that could use some upside in their prospect pool.

Sadly I think Hughes, Bystedt and Beck will all be gone before no. 54. All three did well (or even excellent) at the NHL Combine fitness testing. I also doubt Sykora and Warren would be available in 4th round, but you never know.

Of the players you mentioned, Ingram could be available at no. 54 and vice versa Thornton should be available at no. 91. In fact plenty of smaller LDs will be available in 3rd and 4th round.

For Buchelnikov I have smaller red flag here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-1l54WE5KQ This was his last game of the season. At 1:16:40 (after the clip you might like/hate his opponent Yevseyev, another 2022 draft prospect) is a contact that caused his injury. It happens, but from 2:03:12 to 2:03:18 there is a short clip of Buchelnikov off the ice. It wasn't that bad, nothing was broken, but anyway he didn't play again in the playoffs. His team won that series from deficit and won in finale against CSKA's youth affiliate, Krasnaya Armiya.
For me that is a red flag. He is fragile, despite huge offensive potential. I would not touch him before 5th round.

He’s also light. Once he bulks up (which he’ll have to do to play effectively in North America) he’ll be less “fragile”. That’s a fairly commonplace thing in lighter prospects.
