Man I'd love to have Sandin, but this trade would have the Kings weak at both RD2 and LD2, we get weaker now to get better in a few years. And that's not the way things will go for us after finding success this past season.

I'd love to offer sheet for Sandin, but Blake wouldn't mess up his relationship with Dubas for it.

I dont see why the islanders would do this tbh they don’t want Kerfoot and they wouldn’t retain unless it’s for a 1st and they can get a 2nd and a 3rd from a worse team with a higher draft picks islanders reject

Would you not look at a future sandin - durzi pairing beneficial with a good young prospect pool?
Kings also have cap space to go out and sign someone potentially

Basically Anderson and Doughty are our top pair, Matt Roy is a shut-down RD who would improves everyone he plays with offensively, he basically made stay-at-home Edler look like he had offensive prowess, this is why the Kings will be going hard for a player like Chychrun.

Let's say the Kings moved Roy, you now are forcing Doughty to return to playing more defensively as our strongest shut-down RD with Roy gone. Your second pair becomes Sandin-Walker and your third pair is Bjornfot-Durzi. That is alot of inexperience.

To play Sandin and Durzi (or Walker) as your second pair is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

We are aiming for something like this to be our defensive pairings:

Anderson-Doughty
Chychrun-Roy
Walker-Durzi(or Clarke)
