As with all these Habs ideas, there's 100% no reason why Vegas would want Plekanec. He's old, declined in skill, grossly overpaid, and only has a year left. There's not benefit in taking him at all, he's not in any way an asset to them. They also only need to draft players on an average of $1.4m to reach the floor so that doesn't hold up either.

Gross over-payment for Nyquist IMO, Toronto has UFA options for goalies.
