You barely made any improvements in fact you made the team worse, also we can dump kassian without having to trade away yams.

Honestly, if I'm making a deal with Chicago I want to go BIG
Connor Murphy, Kirby Dach, and Dylan Strome are the targets I'm after
I think you're giving up a ton of assets to get that kind of package, but I think it'd be worth it. Strome and McDavid were amazing in junior. Dach is from the Edmonton region. Murphy just seems like a good defenseman to being in.
Maybe a package of Puljujarvi, Broberg, Holloway, 2022 1st, 2023 1st could get it done.

Smith is going to retire anyways, and as I mentioned before we can dump kassian without trading yams. Also whats the point of cap space if u don’t use it to make the team better?

I think Kane might win his grievance against the sharks and get his entire contract reinstated. Which who knows how things could shake out from there.
