Yeah I'm all for getting as many lottery tickets as possible. But getting 1st for next year sure is going to be difficult (unless you're Florida who traded it away for Ben Chiarot)

Unless its a team like Florida (or San Jose circa 2018) that feels like they will definitely be in the playoff mix. Very unlikely. I was hoping a Boston as they are due for a sudden fall but after firing Cassidy, i think they acknowledge that this isnt going to be a contending year.

Teams like Pittsburgh and Toronto that need cap space with tight contention windows, could be in play.

The unfortunate part of Boston potentially not contending is that they'll probably end up winning the lottery since they have the 1 thing that can stop Jeff Gorton, Taylor Hall.

Nothing worse than the ultimate tank weapon and the will to tank!
