No Mailloux was too young to be part of that 2018 situation, which is another HUGE reason why Mailloux will not play in the NHL. They should actually clean everything and set CLEAR examples as to what NOT DO if you want to live your dream of being in the NHL, so maybe next generations will be a bit more respectful and think twice before committing crimes

Agreed. The NHL really needs to make an example with their investigation into the Hockey Canada situation. And NHL and team execs need to be more proactive and outspoken about this stuff. And hockey families and billet families and coaches all the way down the line need to be better at mentoring these kids so they don't turn out to be piles of garbage with zero guidance who think they own the world.

I absolutely agree with you. And I am a Hawks fan, but i really don't feel like they have done or said enough yet to earn back my trust. Was Mailloux part of that 2018 Hockey Canada gang rape thing? Or is this an entirely different situation?

Logan Mailloux texted pictures of his Girl to teammates when he was playing in Sweden. He was fined by the police I believe the equivalent of $2500 CAD for doing so. He is trying to better himself with the help of the HABS Organization. I believe he will make it right. In my ERA we didn`t have cell phones to send pics to friends, we just talked about it among us (doesn`t make it right). I do condemn hi for what he did because it was just plane stupid of him but I would give him a 2nd chance to redeem himself.

Well, CHI is far from being the team that should give him that chance.

But does that 2nd chance have to be in the NHL? In the spotlight, making millions and trying to do your daughter/girlfriend at a bar next to the arenas where he goes to play?

Why do hockey players have to be exceptions to the rules? You commit crimes, you pay like everybody else

I have worked as a psychosocial worker before and seen plenty of people having their lives destroyed for much less than that. Some even went to jail. No excuse, pay your dues like everyone else. No "get out of jail" cards for these elite privileged ****s

Should Evander Kane been given multiple chances? He was, and now he has redeemed himself. Why is this different. How many players in. the NHL have been given 2nd chances. Logan has paid the price, he was convicted and fined by the Swedish police. He has paid the price for his crime. Now it is time for him to redeem himself.

He should have a criminal record, it means you can't get out of your country for a while. He's just lucky that happened abroad

Never said Evander Kane still coming back was right. He has been lucky to "get away with it" every single time but I don't believe it's "bad luck" if he's been accused of aggressions multiple times. Coincidences don't work like that. He's a pure A-hole.

I mean, why all of this is complicated and nebulous? Don't people all have women to protect in life? Daughters, sisters, mothers, nieces, etc.

Personally, I would be ready to get rid of all these dirtbags and leave the chance to all the good kids out there who worked hard all their life and are ready to live their dream
