More of a bust imo. Talk to me when he starts scoring like he is supposed to

He is though. PPG with MSL. Ducharme was just a fluke

Why even offer this trade if your whole argument is that Caufield is better than PLD?

All this arguing could have been avoided. And that Windjammer guy is always grumpy. Just ignore him.

frown I'm not grumpy, just realistic. People here don't like when you tell them that you can't get star players for scraps.

I think there's a whole lot of overvaluing players on this sight. The issue with these discussions is ALWAYS the value of player(s) in a vacuum VS the value of player(s) in relation to the teams trading and/or acquiring. Dubois has tremendous value to the Jets and many fans hate reading every trade (usually sparked by speculation he won't be in Winnipeg long-term) that does little to address team needs or what they'd be losing in PLD. If I might ask, why do an ACGM at all, seeing as you consider Caufield the far superior player?? Is it just the idea of adding a home-town player, again??

100% agree with you, bud. All it took was Friedman saying they hadn't started negos yet and the PLD to MTL ACGM's started up again.

PLD is a great young player and re-signing him is obviously a priority for Winnipeg, as it should be. Jets have no interest in trading him and Habs have no interest in trading Caufield, so let's just move on.

Too often on this site, the focus is on "winning" the trade without really taking anything else into account.

I guess, man. Sorry for saying grumpy. Last time we interacted, it didn't go over too well and I guess it's the last impression I have of you.

Have a good day, W smile

Lmao what? Only 5 players in the NHL scored more goals than him since the coaching change.

Yeah I don't get all that Caufield hate. Often their only argument is "he's small", but he has enough hockey IQ to not be disadvantaged by his size on the ice and is also proven on the playoffs where the play is more physical.

He doesn't look small when he plays, he still has a really decent physical game. He doesn't get shoved down like Crosby does and Crosby is 4 inches taller.
