Why wouldn't Pitt just sign Letang to that contract. Letang + Poulin > Petry + 2nd

I wouldn't give Tanger a 5yr deal, he'd be 40 by the time his contract expires if that's the deal.
Instead, I'd give him a 2yr deal so it isn't too risky.

Pens hang up the phone on that trade, and Letang already said he wants to be paid what he is worth, so he sure isn't taking a pay cut to go anywhere. Offer better start with an 8 not a 6.
