Ummmm holts is a great starting point for fiala, but adding talbot and the picks being a 2nd and 3rd is rubbish.

I like the idea with the Fiala trade, would love to get Holtz as the main piece. I just don't know if Kulikov is shipped out, that blueline looks pretty small outside of Middleton.

Also, I think Talbot stays. Guerin wants a Fleury/Talbot tandem next year above all other options.

It basically boils down to Holtz and a 22' 2nd for Fiala.

And a 23' 3rd for Talbot.

It's fair. And definitely isn't rubbish.

Agreed.

Sidenote: Nice to see you outside of the Trade Machine! And miss having you over at HW.

I’ve heard the same sound bites from BG as you, so I get it. But do you see us signing Fleury at a discount, to split time with Cam? I don’t see Fleury choosing that situation when he will surely have numerous options some of which are likely to look better for Cup chasing than the Wild do on paper. Guerin may want this but I doubt either of his goalies do.

I tend to agree. I think the BG comments on a MAF Talbot tandem is lip service. In case he misses on MAF. You can’t trade Talbot, and then miss on MAF in FA. I think if MAF comes back, Talbot is traded.

Thanks! Fun to be a part of speculation/ideas with the community on here... ACGM is the way to go.

Glad to have ya!

I'm curious, do you still lurk over at Hockey Wilderness at all? Or have not gone back to it since you left?

It's a great point. IMO a Talbot/Fleury tandem would be the best situation for both goalies at this point in their careers, but MAF's options will be the determining factor here undoubtedly. Sounds like they liked playing with each other, for what it's worth.

I lurk every now and then, I just like the interactivity/tools here more even though HW is Wild-focused. Might have to create a fanpost account over there at some point though, some good discussions!

That's fair, and I'm glad you still lurk there at least and haven't abandoned it completely. I don't doubt I wouldn't be alone in saying we'd love to have you make a comeback there.

I like commenting at both and am pretty much a regular for both communities. This place for learning and gaging trade values, and HW for gameday threads and just having a Wild-centric community to go to.

Sounds good to me - I'll check it out.
