Description
I do not expect this to be realistic given that so many things would need to fall into place.

That being said, if the Pens can find suitors for their larger contracts such as Zucker, Dumo, and McGinn, it would allow them to keep both Malkin / Letang all while gaining a bit more flexibility when it comes to their cap situation.

A cap dump for both Zucker and McGinn will likely cost more than this, (add any Pens prospect that will never actually get the change to play and or picks as you see fit) but both players have their uses depending on which team is looking for more grit and a veteran presence.

The Dumo + Kap trade seems like something that Boston's management would try and pull off and given their long list of injuries, these players would provide much support to a group that will not take the "year off".

I would like for the Pens to find a way to keep Rakell, Erod, and Heinen as they compliment the team's style of play. All three players shouldn't cost too much to bring back, though there could be room to add or subtract their cap hit depending on how you view each player.

The Pens could always go back to DeSmith if they are looking for a cost-effective alternative, but it would be nice to see Fleury get one last go with his former teammates. You can also insert any top 6 wingers to play with Malkin and it would seem that most fans want to bring in a player like Palat, but I like Mikheyev's game as well and his next deal shouldn't be too high, just one that the Leafs cannot afford to bring back.

This is a very realistic scenario and I like it. The only thing I find unlikely is that I think one of the forward prospects breaks into the lineup. I mean one of poulin, puustinen, nylander, hallander ect.

I will be honest, I am not too fond or expecting any of the Pens prospects to do anything with the big club. (Outside of POJ) I do hope I am wrong and if there is a chance that one or more can come in and make an impact would only add to the trades that the Pens can do throughout the season and be more competitive.

Frederic, 3rd, 3rd for Dumoulin, Kapanen
Dumoulin isn't a dump
Sign and trades don't happen (Kapanen)
Pens could get more that this offer for either player individually.

Rodrigues $2.35Mx4
This is at least $600K too much.
