I just wouldn’t make any acquisition Unless he’s a major upgrade on Brown or Formenton and Zacha isn’t .

I hear you, I still feel like he has another level in his potential, and playing with Stuzle stylistically is a nice fit. Maybe the hype was too high around this guy.
I feel like it wouldn't take much to get his rights and sign him at a really good value.
That being said, I also agree that Formeton with Stuzle is likely just as good or better an option.

I’d love this:

Tkachuk-Norris-Joseph
Burakovsky-Stutzle-Batherson
Formenton-Pinto-Brown
Kelly-Kastelic-Watson

Love it, UFA is the best option to fill the top 6, just not sure they can get someone to sign. I keep going over in my mind what is the best position to target either RW or LW. I can see Joseph filling out a Norris Brady line very well, and I also think a Formenton - Stuzle - Batherson line would have no problem being a great 2nd line as well. The biggest thing for me is it has to be someone they can get long-term and at a fair value so there is lots of room for Norris, Stuzle, and Sanderson Extensions. I don't see a way to fit in another $8+ a year player there.

That 4th line is gonna be hell to play against, and what I am thinking they roll out with which would be great unless Grieg really makes strides and can slide in there.

Greig should never play on the 4th line. You never play your best forward prospect on the 4th line

True, he likely plays the whole season in AHL, I just want to see him up with the big club badly, lol

Still a lot of slots to fill with only approx. $13 mil in cap space. If I'm New York, I'd match the offer sheet, but the team has some tough decisions. Strome has been an excellent 2C. Copp was a great pick up at the deadline.

Certainly tough decisions ahead. Just wanted to point out that the ones in the additional details of the trade wouldn't be the tough ones. Georgiev - gone. Strome - gone. Blais won't cost that much. Copp TBD. Vatrano most likely gone. And add in space from dumping Nemeth.
