It’s almost like they intentionally try to.

With that being said, I don’t think the value going either is grossly out of line, although it is. And also just doesn’t make sense for the Rangers to do.

Garland isn’t the difference maker they need to take that next step. If the Rangers make a move that includes parting with good-great assets, it’ll be for a transcending type player.

Rangers decline, but I think (as a Canucks fan) that this would work out perfectly for the Nucks. A good bottom 6 forward who is developing (so you don't have to go overpay 4th liners like Beagle Roussel and Eriksson), a RHD in Lundkvist who can play with Quinn Hughes, and a 2nd and at the same time, clear cap space for Vancouver
