Carolina declines, in this situation, they are taking up more cap (which is the opposite of what they should be doing) and taking in a useless defenceman from their standpoint.

Do you think the value would be even for both sides if Forbort was removed from the trade?

Carolina just isn't gonna trade for Pasta, he probably wouldn't re-sign and if he did it would be to high for Carolina
