Absolutely it’s an over pay. However, we have the prospects to do it. If they took Stranges, I’d prefer that. Imo Johnston, Harley, Grushnikov and Stankoven are off limits. The rest can be had if we get something in return that helps us now. Not 3 years from now. Obviously my scenario here also includes buying out Suter and trading Faksa. Both of which would be the only reason I’d make the deal for Petry at all is because I’ve moved those two out. Nill probably would be fine with both and Petry.

And yea we could get Montour for less, but I’m thinking of ensuring we get him and allowing Heiskanen to move to his natural side is more important plus finding another right handed defenseman who can play well with Lindell which I believe Montour fits the bill.
