Have you noticed how this site is primarily composed of fantasy masochists and fantasy sadists? Each team's fans grossly overestimate the value of their own team's assets. The more venomous the comment, the more likes they get from their minions. I felt you deserved a positive comment because your team is one that many NYR fans would like to see on the ice next year. I wish Copp would come that cheap, but I don't see that happening unless there is a bidding war between Copp and Strome to stay with the team. They think Copp will get around $5.5M, but you never know. They also think that Motte would get closer to $2M. I know Zach Jones has offensive potential, but do you think he has that same potential on the defensive side of his game? LGR!!!

Thanks. Yeah I did look at the best case scenarios for Copp. I think he'd go for a sub 5M deal as long as it has term, but 4.15 is extremely optimistic. I'm guessing Motte is gone to make room for Kakko and Copp, but we'll see.

Now, about Zac Jones. He actually looked pretty solid defensively in his short time this season, but it might be a good idea to sign some depth dman just in case, as long as we don't get another Nemeth type deal. Lundkvist is also a good option, he was shaky at the start of last season, but he looked better and better with time. Now that he's spent some time in the AHL, he should be more used to the smaller rinks and the NA game, so he could also be an option, if him or Schneider can play on the left. It'll def be interesting to see what they do, but I feel like Jones or Lundkvist slotting into the final spot is the best case scenario. Maybe even have Jones full-time with Lundkvist as the 7D. We'll see what the Rangers come up with.
