They wouldn’t trade a first to take on his contract. It’s just not that bad of a situation, yet. A salary dump generally goes for a second round pick or a higher ceiling prospect. Obviously Murray isn’t the goalie he once was but he is an NHL calibre goalie. The Hawks don’t have much in that department that’s where I thought the fit lied.

We don't have that much agree, but the cap and term are too great for us to consider Jerventie an appropriate level of compensation. I think we have the leverage in taking on bad contracts but when I meant a possible inclusion of a 1st I wasn't referring to a straight swap but more we also give up something of interest, perhaps Murphy and go from there.
