Is surprising NJ with an Offer Sheet on Zacha realistic for them to take the 2nd based on the contract?

That’s a lot to give up for a 34 year old. I’d try and make a deal more in line with what Florida did to get Giroux. First, a third and a decent prospect

I'd do it on the basis of him being extended at under 7ish per for about 3-4 years

3 years is fine but ur giving up too much based on his closest comp. Also I wouldn’t want to take Connelly back in the deal. If the deal is just about cap space I’d inquire on if Toews wants to come with him lol.

Connelly for me was to get what I would've put as a 2nd rounder down to a 3rd and a 1.6 mil buyout with the amount of ELCs on the roster isn't a problem at all. Also Kane is still a 90 point a year guy, Olofson is gonna get 4.5 this yr probably on a short term and Casey hasn't become a top 6 really yet. !6th overall and two guys Chicago probably won't retain along w just a bonus 3rd for a superstar even at age 34 isn't that absurd.

Chicago would retain both guys. Oloffson and Middlestadt have legit value. I get the idea of Kane and I support going after him. But ur overpaying based on market value.

Middlestadt, Oloffson and the 28th pick for Kane is probably a done deal for Chicago.
