While Bishop was on LTIR last season,
next year we’ll put him on regular IR so that his Cap hit will count
Yes, we took on the $5mil Cap hit bc:
1- it helps us get to the Cap floor
2- the real life $$$ we have to pay is significantly less than the Cap hit
Sorry pal, but you’re wrong here
Same thing we did this season with Boychuck</div></div>
WE DID NOT TRADE FOR A 5 MILLION DOLLAR CAP HIT DUDE
WE"RE NOT SWITCHING HIM TO IR
WE NEEDED 700k TO BE LEGAL IN THE CAP WORLD GOING INTO THIS OFFSEASON

Paul is gonna get mid 3s I'd imagine. Gudbranson isn't a great fit at 3 million, looking for a more experienced but youth option. Bjork would probably need to be swapped out with a B ish prospect, maybe Brandon Biro. Kevyn won't give Campbell 3 years, said he wants short term option

I think anyone under 23 should qualify as a prospect, waiver eligibility to me personally isn't a massive breaking point. Although I understand what you mean, but it'd be irrelevant as well because I think he'd immediately join the Nucks bottom 6 especially after the Motte trade

He is on the LTIR buddy, only a percentage of the cap hit actually affects the cap. Do your research. You really thought the sabres would take 5 million on for only a 7th?!.

so because he got an early ELC he is no longer a prospect at age 21. news to me

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Buffalove</b></div><div>Sabres decline both trades imo
Can’t see them having interest in either player</div></div>
They take Hagelin to help get them to cap floor and his injury allows players on ELCs to play. They would take a mid pick for that. I'm a sabres fan and I'd be happy with it. Its logical. We clearly wanted Fjlarby considering we claimed him on waivers. Dropping basically two 7ths for a 24 year old speedster with a bit of NHL experience hurts nothing

Johansen is a top 4 prospect easily, he has been banged up until this year. Had a +24 in the AHL and got rave reviews from scouts. He's 24 and controllable. Know who the returning prospect is before you bash it. Do the research.
Oh, and he's a former first-round pick for a guy on an expiring UFA deal

Considering where there roster was lacking, that's not a valid excuse to be keeping the kids out of the lineup, even in the playoffs. Also, I'm not quite sure what bad contracts you're referring to, Pittsburgh in any case should be looking to move out Dumoulin, Pettersson, McGinn, or Matheson in that case. Stop trying to pry away Boeser for pennies on the dollar, it's not happening</div></div>
Im gonna laugh when your return is no more then a mid 1st and a B prospect
No way you're telling me Pitt would put two kids in the bottom 6 in their situation this season
that's a bad take

the only reason they are;t in the lineup is because they're on a deep playoff-capable team ofc they're not going to insert two kids with upside, they're not young bottom 6ers like o connor and zhorna. You could put both in the top 9 for Vancouver next year with established players and they give you elcs rather then overpaid contracts you should be moving anyway

Your over value of him, #1, #4 prospects both NHL ready and a 2nd for a top 6 forward is the exact market value if anything an overpay but Boesers a bigger name

I think you had the right idea to dump Zucker contract for a solid player but 8 mil is an elite number not middle 6. Also E-rod is gonna need more AAV. Could potentially get a little more for Heinen but as a sabres fan itd make sense to me

Cat gets WAY more, 2nd overall is the starting place but CHI would want quality not quantity, someone like holtz. Think SJ still keeps Labanc, and if hes still injured they can ltir him. Buf accepts the Bish trade if they want a body in net. Think BUf declines that Portillo trade, they dont have much in net and think theyd like one of their very promising G prospects to pan out.</div></div>
I wont respond to the Portillo portion I talked about that a bit in other responses, but Holtz swapping with the three former seconds I would agree on, it depends on a Gms preferences, value wise probably equate.. Labanc I see being sold for a much steaper pick price, personally to shed the 5 million which SJS needs to attempt relevancy which they intend to do a 4th is a steal. But I understand your perspectives

Devils DeBrincat Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Funksoljah</b></div><div>The Sabres have lost 2 NCAA players to UFA in the past like 20 years not counting Vesey who flat out said he was going UFA and they wasted a pick trading for him anyway. Portillo is not a must trade unless he has given Adams any indication that he doesn't want to play for them, which to our knowledge he has made no such comments.
They don't need Bernier to hit the cap floor when Bishops contract does the exact same thing without taking a roster spot and costs them less actual dollars because it's insured.</div></div>
we're going to need a veteran goalie anyway so taking the roster spot is a bad thing, and I'd rather have Boqvist then a goalie the future plans don't have room for let alone if he'll sign. For him to have a teammate in Power and still wanna return to Michigan, never know whats going on mentally, future may not be in hockey we cant tell that
