Can’t tell you enough how one sided an offer that is for Mayfield. Just horrible for the Isles.

    Sabres decline both trades imo
Can’t see them having interest in either player

I think if the era is ending it’s because Backy can’t play. If he’s good, y’all still got a shot, look at the other teams in the metro, the isles are your only competition

A 6'5, 200lb gritty playoff tested RHD that can play on most middle pairings, and who is on an expiring contract that is dirt cheap.

Imagine what that player would garner at the deadline. A player any team could fit under their cap.

Johansen is a top 4 prospect easily, he has been banged up until this year. Had a +24 in the AHL and got rave reviews from scouts. He's 24 and controllable. Know who the returning prospect is before you bash it. Do the research.
Oh, and he's a former first-round pick for a guy on an expiring UFA deal

They take Hagelin to help get them to cap floor and his injury allows players on ELCs to play. They would take a mid pick for that. I'm a sabres fan and I'd be happy with it. Its logical. We clearly wanted Fjlarby considering we claimed him on waivers. Dropping basically two 7ths for a 24 year old speedster with a bit of NHL experience hurts nothing

Avs will do everything to keep Lehkonen. They know how good he is and that is why they paid a big price to get a 1st liner.

With the trade for Bishop, getting to the Cap floor shouldn’t be an issue

None of these trades make any sense for any of the teams including the caps.

    That’s incorrect
Bishop’s CAP HIT next year is almost $5,000,000

He is on the LTIR buddy, only a percentage of the cap hit actually affects the cap. Do your research. You really thought the sabres would take 5 million on for only a 7th?!.

    You’re totally incorrect

While Bishop was on LTIR last season,
next year we’ll put him on regular IR so that his Cap hit will count

Yes, we took on the $5mil Cap hit bc:
1- it helps us get to the Cap floor
2- the real life $$$ we have to pay is significantly less than the Cap hit

Sorry pal, but you’re wrong here
Same thing we did this season with Boychuck

WE DID NOT TRADE FOR A 5 MILLION DOLLAR CAP HIT DUDE
WE"RE NOT SWITCHING HIM TO IR
WE NEEDED 700k TO BE LEGAL IN THE CAP WORLD GOING INTO THIS OFFSEASON

    Why not?
We did it with Boychuck this season

Bishop could very easily be moved to regular IR to help us get to the Cap Floor

Typing in Caps lock doesn’t make u correct
