Risky trade for both sides, and not sure if Vancouver would want to give up on Höglander so quickly even though he has had two down seasons. Maybe if Hoglander has a 3rd down season and Zadina slightly improves, I could see this trade work

Funny, because I don't think Detroit would want to give up on Zadina either. Maybe if Zadina has another down season and Hoglander slightly improves.

Fair? Maybe. Unpopular? For sure, because neither side is going to want to give up on their guy for another guy in the same situation.

My thoughts as well. I'm certainly not inclined to deal Hoglander, but if it's a deal for other young and struggling roster players, I'd definitely consider it
