Trades
1.
PIT
ARI
  1. Légaré, Nathan
  2. Zucker, Jason
Additional Details:
I think if any team will take his whole contract without giving or taking on anything is a huge win for them But most likey that are going to have to give up a prospect
2.
PIT
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (WSH)
  2. 2023 5th round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Kapanen, Kasperi [RFA Rights]
  2. Pettersson, Marcus
Additional Details:
I think it's time to move on from these two. Which sucks because i always liked Petterson and thought he wasn't as bad as people made him to be but Detriot could benefit his servers if that can get Washington's 2nd and 5th that would be a great deal for them
3.
PIT
Pittsburgh will need to resign Letang, Malkin, and Rakell. Now i prefer if they let Letang walk and sign Mason Marchment and Nikita Zadarov instead, but people will want Letang back this offseason so resign those three are their first priority and i think bringing in Nichushin and putting him on Malkin's line will benefit both players

You have enough cap space leftover to sign MAF or Holtby as a legit backup too...

I don't love rolling out the same exact D from last season. Think they need to switch it up and get some physicality back there as well. But I like what you did overall.

Watching Lindberg in the AHL before he got injured last year showed me a lot. i think he could take that next step next year. but if MAF is willing to take 1-2AVV deal then I'm fine with that

I think lindberg is capable to be a good backup, but he would be best served getting more time to marinate in the AHL. A full year in the AHL would do wonders for his development

    Overall good team.

    Couple things to consider:
    1. Move Lindgren down to AHL and sign Fluery $2M. Lindgren getting hurt last year hurt his progression up so another AHL year will be good.
    2. Don't sign Boyle and bring up someone else from AHL...I'm thinking Pustienen. Pens need to add some youth and get away from all old vets.
    3. Nuchuskin was on my wishlist but I really doubt Avs let him walk. Replace him with Trocheck. Trocheck can also shift to C if Geno goes down.

Biggest wildcard in all this roster is Zucker. I have done what feels like 50 of these since our season ended and every roster I get stuck cause idk what to do with Zucker. Really Zucker and McGinn. Zucker reminds me of Hornqvist couple years back where he didn't fit on 1st or 2nd but we are paying him like a 1st or 2nd. If we can move on from him it opens so many other possibilities with this roster. WIth McGinn I wouldn't mind if Pens flipped him to Canes and we sign Bear on D even and flip Marino to Nucks for JT. Things are endless but what will Hextall ACTUALLY do is million dollar question.

Trocheck wouldn't be bad but if we can't get Nuchuskin i think we should go after Marchment instead. He's much cheap, can fit on the 2nd line and had about 48 points in 58 games which would be about 68 points in 82 games with about 27 of those being goals

Yeah I have seen his name pop up a good bit as well. Like I said before it will come down to who can we move on D and what return looks like. If the Vancouver trade with Marino/Miller comes together it'll be interesting. My thoughts are either we build a solid line around Geno or completely revamp the whole 2nd line. I would like to see Geno/Rakkell together and a big fish from FA by moving someone out from the D. If you can get Miller I say go for it. Could you imagine a second line of Trocheck/Geno/Rakkell?

Detroit will negotiate the 2nd down to a 3rd and then accept.

For a CapFriendly roster u did a great job, here’s my full opinion

    - Geno’s AAV perfect, Rakell and Letang will each get half a mil more

    - love Nichuskin!

    - you have enough space with the current contract lineup too add an actual backup (I do like Lindberg but he needs a full non injury affected AHL season)

    - I’m not extremely fond of Alex Nylander on the 3rd line, imo u send one of him or Zahorna to Wilkes and get a physical player (not like reaves, someone with some hockey skill like Tyler Motte) or a backup

    - if u don’t want to re-sign Heinen I’m sure u could get a pick for his RFA rights

    Overall good job tho

I totally forgot about Heinen he's in my other ones before this one probably would resign him and replace with Rodrigures because he's more constitant
