Description
This is just what I feel is reasonable and personally think it si going to be a lot to ask from our new GM Botterill but after he takes over and names Housley the Head Coach, I think he hits the ground running and signs Antipin ASAP!

Lock up Lehner to the contract he deserves and look forward to putting some Defense in front of him.

Once the ducks are eliminated, he begins knocking on their door and even though Reinhart is a soft spot for fans in Buffalo, we trade him to Anaheim for Vatanen to relieve their expansion draft woes. They need someone on an ELC so they don't have to protect them and Reinhart fits that perfectly.

Make a deal to send Ennis or Bogo to Vegas and buy out the other. I think Vegas elects to take Ennis but honestly, either would be fine.

Pick a Defenseman with the 8th overall pick and hope he continues our 8th overall string of good picks (our last 8th was nylander and before that was Risto) If not, trade down and acquire picks. Time has proven that acquiring picks by trading down is the best way to find that diamond in the rough as soooo many other teams have and we haven't done since Ryan Miller.

Sign Galiev to a minor league deal who I think could be a stud.

Gionta resigns just because he will retire a sabre..eventually (not that I like him but he will take a pay cut to continue to play in buffalo)

Go out and get Oshie to fill the reinhart viod and also bolster the D by capitalizing on the penguins tough cap situation by signing Daley.

This still leaves you with some wiggle room to pay eichel for his bonus (that he will hit with Oshie on his wing...he did lead the capitals in goals this year) Also leaves us with all of our young trade bait prospects like fasching and Nelson to either trade or continue to develop.

This looks more like a playoff team like this than we've had in a long long time...

You do get that in Daley and Antipin. I think we're more desperate for a guy who can move the puck and score over their handedness.

We still would need to make room for eichel in the following season but I think Daley, Antipin, and Vatenan create a favorable d-core around a solid top 6 forward group. We would need some depth scoring but that could be addressed by nylander and fasching as the season moves along but i dont think they start the season in the nhl.
